The One-day surgery center offers treatment-diagnostic services and methods, which can be performed within a one-day time frame which don’t require an overnight hospital stay.

The procedures are designed to allow the patient to be released a few hours after the completion of the surgical intervention or conducted examination.

The operation or examination preparation for the patient can be performed a few days before the operation or examination depending on the nature of the procedure and disease.

The final examinations and consultations with the treating specialist are performed on the day of admittance, if required, to assess the overall health condition of the patient and to ensure that the procedure is maximally effective.

On the day of the procedure, the patient’s medical file will have been prepared and he/she is will have a prearranged scheduled appointment in the one-day surgery department. As a final check, the patient is once again examined by the doctor to ensure the patient is completely ready for the procedure and then is admitted into the department for treatment.    

We recommend that during the procedure the patient be accompanied by a family member or friend for support, and also the patient should be accompanied by a companion for an additional 24 hours after the release and completion of the surgical intervention.

During the recovery period that patient will be in constant contact with the treating doctor and the team of Emergency Medicine department to follow his/her recovery.
