Endocrinology and Nephrology Clinic
The Endocrinology and Nephrology Clinic in Tokuda Hospital Sofia offers complex treatment in two directions in the area of internal diseases – diseases of the Endocrine system and Nephrology diseases.
There are 26 stationary beds available in the clinic, in both of its departments – Endocrinology and Nephrology. A total of 12 doctors who specialized in the relevant field, 12 healthcare professionals (nurses) and service staff (3 sanitarians). The medical teams are highly qualified and use advanced complex methods of diagnostics and treatment. The up-to-date equipment of the clinic contributes to accurate diagnostics and precise assessment of the patient’s condition, and the appointment of necessary therapeutic applications.
Check-ups and Consultations
The clinic has consultative medical offices in both Endocrinology and Nephrology specialties, allocated in the Tokuda Medical Center (TMC). Examinations and consultations can be performed after a registration by calling +359 (2) 403 4917. There are 2 manipulation rooms for holistic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Last generation echograph provides high quality imaging, handled by specialist, that acquired certificates for working with ultrasound equipment.
Check-ups and consultations can be performed under an international health insurance or after a paid admission.
The 2 departments have a total of 26 beds. There are hospital rooms with 2 or 4 beds, as well as private rooms. All of the rooms have air conditioning and are equipped up-to-date restrooms, private wardrobes, TVs and Wi-Fi.
Hospitalization is carries under a direction from the TMC or in case of emergency by the ER in Tokuda Hospital Sofia.
Clinical trials and Education
The clinic is and authorized base for specialization and continuous training of doctors in the two specialties, after enrollment in Medical University Sofia, based on ranking of the candidates after advance competitions.
Planned clinical trials of new drugs are conducted, as well as broad science projects in the area of medicine. Some of the associates participate annually in different science forums in Bulgaria and abroad ad members of international science organizations. Prof. Boyan Lozanow is chief editor of the “Endocrinology” magazine, body of the Bulgarian Endocrinology Association, as well as being a member of other editing associations.
