Tokuda Hospice offers comprehensive 24 hour medical assistance for the elderly and critical patients in a safe and comfortable environment. The Hospice aims to ensure patient access to specialized and quality medical care for the chronically ill or patients with de-habilitating illnesses as well as maintain and support the quality of life of our patients and their loved ones.

The Hospice is located in our hospital and has twenty beds, and the staff includes doctors, psychologists, nurses, physical therapy technicians, and social workers.

The key patient benefit is its location in our multidisciplinary hospital which ensures our patients have direct access to all our medical departments and the resources of our hospital.

We care for terminal patients, chronic patients, and disabled patients and offer our services to both Bulgarian citizens and foreign citizens as well.

We designed the Hospice with the patient in mind; we offer either private or 4 person rooms and provide a day center with a relaxation room, activity center, and lobby for our patients and loved ones.

Our Hospice provides integrated medical and social services to be able to deliver palliative care to our patients. We believe that palliative care requires specialized knowledge, coordination, and compassion to assist all people with advanced stage diseases as well as provide emotional support to their families and friends.

Elderly  Day Center:

The center provides our patients with high quality care, and gives their families peace in the fact that their loved ones are in good hands.

Home Visits:

For Sofia residents, we offer in-home services to care and assist the elderly, recovering patients, and the chronically ill. Our services aim to assist post-operative patients to recover quickly after surgeries as well as assist people with limited mobility in order to deliver high quality medical care in our patient’s homes.

The services include:

• Administering rehabilitation procedures- massages, calisthenics, daily task training, occupational therapy
• Administering physical therapy procedures- electrotherapy, light therapy, non-traditional pain management methods
• Administration of Medical Therapy Programs
• Administration of injections and medications
• Catheter placement and replacement
