Team

Our team of experienced anesthesiologists and anesthesiology nurses ensure 24 hour highly-specialized patient care, especially by offering effective pain relief methodologies.

The doctors provide comprehensive service to cover all spheres of anesthesiology and intensive care; they are highly-qualified and have received specializations in Japan, France, Germany, Russia, the USA and other countries.

 

Dr. Georgi Simeonov- department chief
 
Dr. Simeonov received his medical degree in 1993 from the Sofia Medical University, and he received his specialization in anesthesiology and intensive carein 1998. From 1993-2006 he worked in the Anesthesiology and Intensive care unit (ICU) of the general hospital “Sveta Anna” in Sofia, Bulgaria. He has earned  additional specializations in pediatric anesthesiology, intravenous and feeding tube mixed nourishment programs, local and regional (plexus pain blocking) an anesthesiology methods.
 
He has been a member of our team from the opening of our hospital, as the department head of the “Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit”, in 2006.  In 2007, he completed a course in Japanese Pain Treatment Methodology, as well as participated in a professional experience exchange program in the hospitals of the Tokushukai medical corporation.  He is a member of the “European Association of Anesthesiologists”

 

Dr. Zhelyazko Vasiliev

Dr. Vasilev graduated from the Varna Medical University in 1990, and earned his specialization in anesthesiology and intensive care in 1998. After his graduation he worked in the internal medicine department of the hospital “Yulia Vrevska” in Byala in the Ruse region of Bulgaria. Between 1994 and 1995 he was a team member of the emergency medicine department of the same hospital. Dr. Vasilev has 15 years of experience as an anesthesiologist. He has been a member of our team since our hospital opening.

Dr. Stefan Gerganov

 

Dr. Gerganov graduated from the Thracian Medical University, and received his specialization anesthesiology and intensive care in 2005. He worked in the anesthesiology and intensive care emergency unit of Stara Zagora, he has been a member of our team since the opening of our hospital.   

 

Dr. Maria Popova

Dr. Popova graduated from the Pleven Medical University in 1983, and received her specialization in anesthesiology and intensive care in 1992. From 1984 to 2002 she worked in the intensive care unit of the operation and surgical sector of the Pleven hospital. Between 2002 and 2005, she was a team member of the anesthesiology and intensive care department of the hospital “Sveta Anna”, after which she worked for one year as an anesthesiologist in respiratory center in Germany. Dr. Popova has been a member of our team since the opening of Tokuda Hospital Sofia.

 

 

Dr. Ivan Stoymenov
 

Dr. Stoymenov graduated from the Varna Medical University in 1991 and received his specialization in anesthesiology and intensive care in 1997. He worked in the anesthesiology and intensive care department of the general hospital in Shumen, and in Libya as well. Between 2002 and 2006 he worked as an anesthesiologist and intensive care specialist for the thoracic surgery department of the “Sveta Sofia” hospital, and has been a worked in our hospital since the opening. Dr. Stoymenov is a member of the European Association of Anesthesiologists.

  

Dr. Bilyana Kamenova

Dr. Kamenova graduated from the Sofia Medical School in 1997, and earned her specialization in anesthesiology and intensive care in 2003. After graduation she worked in the anesthesiology and intensive care unit of the general hospital “Tzarina Yoanna”, were she gained eight years of experience. Dr. Kamenova has also specialized in France, and she has been with our team since the opening of our hospital.
