Tokuda

Dr. Minchev has been with our hospital since its construction. His professional interests are in the implementation of mini-invasive surgical techniques, and he has over 20 publications in the national and international medical press. He has participated in numerous national and international scientific forums, and he is member of the Bulgarian Association of Thoracic Surgery, the Bulgarian Association of Pulmonology, and the European Association of Cardiac-Thoracic Surgery. He is fluent in Russian and English.

Dr. Emanuil Manolov, MD PhD 

Dr. Manolov was born in 1969 in Burgas, Bulgaria and graduated from the French Language high school in Sofia. In 1996, he graduated from the Sofia Medical University, after which he was a doctoral candidate student in the clinic of thoracic surgery of the university hospital “Sveta Sofia”. In 2001, he successfully defended his dissertation “Surgical treatment of bullous emphysema” and earned his scientific doctoral degree. In 2004, he added a master’s degree in health care management from the Social Health Faculty of the Sofia Medical University. He has two specialties: general surgery and thoracic surgery. He has 19 scientific publications in thoracic surgery in leading international and national medical journals. Dr. Manolov is a member of the European Association of Cardiac-Thoracic Surgery. He is fluent in French, Russian and English.

Dr. Todor Djendov

Dr. Djendov graduated from the mathematics high school in Yambol and was a two-time laureate of the national biology Olympics. Dr. Djendov graduated from the Sofia Medical University in 2007. In 2004, he began participating in an advanced extracurricular surgery training group and became its representative leader in 2006. Three times consecutively, he won the first place prize in surgery of the International Congress of Medical Science for Students and Young Doctors held in Sofia, Bulgaria. After his graduation, he immediately began working at Tokuda hospital Sofia as a full time physician of our thoracic surgical team. He has one publication, and he is fluent in English and Russian.

Dr. Ivan Stoimenov 

Dr. Stoimenov graduated from the Military Medical Academy Varna, Bulgaria in 1991 and he has specialized in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. After graduation, he began working in the anesthesiology and Intensive care unit of the general hospital in Shumen, Bulgaria. From 1998 to 2001 he worked in Tripoli, Libya and he returned to Bulgaria and worked the general hospital “Sveta Sofia” as an anesthesiologist and re-animator. He has been with our hospital since our opening, and he has completed the post graduate medical training program sponsored by the Fondation Europeneene d’Enseignement en Anesthesiologie. He is a member of the European Association of Anesthesiologists.  Dr. Stoimeov is fluent in English, Russian and Arabic languages.

St. M.S. Tzveta Rangelova- head nurse 

Head nurse Rangelova graduated from the Sofia Medical College in 1981, and currently pursuing a master degree in health care management at the New Bulgarian University, Sofia. From 1981 to 2004 she worked in the specialized hospital for the active treatment of pulmonary diseases “Sveta Sofia”, after which she worked in the general hospital “Pirigov”. She has been a member of our team since we began serving the public, and was promoted to head nurse of the thoracic surgery department on July 1^st, 2008. She has completed additional nursing qualifications courses in anesthesiology and intensive care, and surgery. She is fluent in Russian and English.
