The cardiac surgery department has a centralized diagnostic doctor’s office, which offers echocardiography equipment to assess patient condition preoperatively and to monitor the patient post-operatively. 

For preoperative assessments and patient examinations and for post-operative examinations and monitoring the department performs transthoracic and transesphogeal echocardiography. 

The cardiac surgery department team has two experienced cardiologists, who provide the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to meet all the needs of our cardiac patients.

The doctor’s office is also equipped with contemporary medical equipment to conduct minor surgical procedures such as removing stitches, changing and removing bandages, and pleural punctures and others. 

The department accepts every insured Bulgarian under the National Insurance Fund with a specialist referral from their GP, and accepts insurance from international insurance companies, as well as cash patients.
