The neonatology department provides advanced treatment for newborns, quality primary resuscitation of high-risk newborns, ventilation apparatuses, administration of surfactant for severe respiratory failure, monitoring of central nervous system development.

The department works closely with all of the other clinical departments of our multi-profile hospital and can provide medical assistance to meet the health needs of newborns 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The in patient ward has 20 beds, and 8 of which are located in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for intensive monitoring and therapy.
In accord with the contemporary methods for assessing the condition of the newborn, the neonatology team implements good medical practices when providing resuscitation and newborn medical care. The post birth examination and continuous observation combined with our team’s deep knowledge of potential risk factors allow us to reduce the newborn risk of developing diseases during the course of the neonatal period.
