The medical imaging department of Tokuda Hospital Sofia is multidisciplinary and offers a comprehensive range of medical imaging-diagnostic modalities and services.
Our doctors are multiprofile medical imaging specialists who have earned a range of additional medical subspecialties including emergency diagnostics, magnetic resonance, computer tomography, mammography diagnostics, ultrasound diagnostics, interventional x-ray imaging, nuclear medicine and oncology.
The professional philosophy of our medical imaging department team is fully oriented towards the patient. We perceive patient care as our main function, and every conducted examination is interpreted by one of our medical imaging diagnostic specialists and we discuss the results together with our patients. Our goal and main task is for every patient to receive the necessary consultation and complete medical imaging results that their particular medical case requires.
Our department offers various medical imaging modalities such as digital conventional x-ray machines, 64 multi-detector computer tomography, 1.5 T Magnetic Resonance, osteodensiometer, mobile x-ray apparatuses.
We also offer a mammography center with a fully digital mammography apparatus, stereotaxic biopsies, and specialized software for computer assisted diagnostics which is based upon mammodiagnostic ultrasound.
All examinations and tests conducted by the medical imaging department are processed, distributed and archived with the help of our PACS system, which allows for quick access to previously done examinations and allows us to conduct comparison imaging assessments. The medical images can be transmitted over distances and be consulted upon in reference centers using telemedicine technologies.
