Surgery Procedures

Our department has its own operating theatre located within the general surgical unit, which is equipped with the latest medical equipment for eye microsurgery, an operating microscope, a DVD system with the capability for video-conferencing for ophthalmology surgeries.

Our high-tech equipment allows us to perform cataract operations via phacoemulsification through micro-incisions less than 2 millimeters and to implant the most advanced intraocular lenses (monofocal and multifocal) available, and provide surgical and laser glaucoma treatments.

Furthermore, we conduct surgical procedures to address retinal detachment, vitrectomy surgery for severe forms of retinal detachment due to diabetes and trauma as well as extraction of foreign bodies.
