Treatment

Our inpatient ward is located on the seventh floor in wing C of our hospital. The ward has 45 hospital beds located in quad rooms, single and private rooms with private bathrooms, cable TV, and central AC, wireless internet and all the comforts we offer at Tokuda Hospital Sofia.

Our in-patient ward consists of three functional sectors: Hematology, Chemotherapy, and Radio-therapy.

We accept patients from the NHIF, from international insurance companies and individual patients. We offer cover treatments for cancer, anemia, leukemia, lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS or "preleukemia"), Polycythemia Vera (Erythremia), and related conditions.

Our medical team consists of a group of doctors, nurses, orderlies, and allied health professionals dedicated to providing patient focused care. The team has vast practical experience gained from working in leading national hospitals and across Europe and abroad. Our personnel have extensive experience treating critical patients, delivering palliative care for oncology blood disorder patients, administering specialized feeding programs, and effectively managing patient pain.

Our inpatient department follows the contemporary protocols and diagnostics procedures in onco-hematology disease management to deliver our patients chemotherapy in accord with EU standards, targeted therapy utilizing monoclonal antibodies, precision and variable dose radiotherapy, and other innovative services.

To treat the most common form of anemia, blood loss related iron-deficit anemia, we offer our patients either in-patient or out-patient treatments with iron fortifed intravenous solutions under physician observation. For more serious anemias we administer blood transfusions.

After treating our patients, our team monitors their health condition and provides free post treatment exams, putting one of our most important Tokuda Hospital Sofia philosophies into practice “Our Hospital is committed to provide our patients with excellent medical care during and after their treatments with us”.
