Our department team provides comprehensive treatments based on their vast professional experience and high technical training for the following vascular issues:
To treat the diseases listed above, we implement standard surgical techniques and mplement minimally invasive endovascular surgical methods including: dilation, stenting, embolization in order to minimize patient trauma, reduce recovery time, and to shorten hospital stay.
To treat varicose veins, we routinely use endovascular laser-ablation which is a leading minimally invasive method and poses a preferable alternative to the classic vein stripping treatment techniques.
We also provide comprehensive conservative drug therapies to treat vascular diseases.

“For people with health compliants related to inadequate blood circulation in the lower limbs, please seek medical attention to avoid the un-necessary risk of losing a limb”, warned Assistant Professor Dr. Vasil Chervenkov PhD department chief of our vascular surgery and angiology clinic.
According to the 2009 data from the National Health Insurance Fund, the number of amputations related to lower limb vascular disease totaled over 3,300, which could be easily corrected and prevented by timely diagnosis and specialized treatment to save patients limbs. Dr. Chervenkov added that “These unfortunate statistics are exactly why professional partnerships amongst GPs, general surgeons, orthopedic specialists, endocrinologists, and vascular specialists (vascular surgeons and angiologists) is required to provide adequate medical assistance and be able to direct patients to seek treatment on time”.
Since we began serving the public, our clinic has conducted our 3000 operations, 600 of which were mini-invasive and hybrid conventional/mini-invasive interventions.
