Our orthopedic department offers state of the art equipment for diagnostics and treatment of flat feet.

“Leaving children with flat feet undiagnosed and untreated leads to longer term damage to the muscloskeletal system”, warns orthopedic specialists from our partner hospitals in Japan.

Our department’s highly advanced equipment designed to diagnose foot and sole anomalies, brings the capability to offer more precise diagnosis and treatment for flat feet deformities, which is widespread and serious condition affecting the musculoskeletal system and requires prompt medical attention.

"Flat feet is a widespread condition in the country, many of the affected are children. Accurate and early diagnosis provides the best outcome for the problem to be treated effectively with appropriate therapies and physical exercises", commented Dr. Vasil Yablanski, Orthopedics and Traumatology Department Chief.

Typically, flat feet symptoms are foot and ankle pain, swelling, and cramps after long walks. We recommended that parents who suspect that their child has flat feet to bring their child for an orthopedic specialist consultation when the child is between 4 and 5 years of age. We urge parents to bring their child for evaluation because, neglecting the problem can lead to development of feet deformities and long term injuries to the musculoskeletal system.

Our modern computerized diagnostics is essential to properly correct flat feet anomalies. We provide a comprehensive gait assessment that allows our specialists to properly center body weight, improve gait biomechanics, and to prepare specialized foot/shoe inserts to treat the condition.

Our department offers preventative and screening flat feet exams for children for more information.
