Our modern radiotherapy department was established to deliver world class medical care and provide multidisciplinary and full cycle oncology treatment in collaboration with our surgical teams, hematology and chemotherapy department, oncologists, and our oncology committee.
Our department is equipped with a modern linear accelerator with the capacity to perform Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), which allows us to aggressively treat oncology diseases while minimizing any harm to our patients’ healthy tissues and organs.

Our department is specializing in offering innovative radio-surgery interventions, which has wide applications to effectively treat brain tumors, brain metastases, and liver cancers.
Dr. Rumen Lazarov - Department Chief
Our radiology department chief, Dr. Rumen Lazarov is an well known specialist with over 20 years of professional experience working in radiotherapy and oncology. He managed the radiotherapy treatment planning department of the National Oncology Hospital. He has taught radiology technicians at the Medical College J. Filaretova for over 15 years. His professional interests are focused upon contemporary treatments of hematologic diseases, lung cancers, tumors affecting the head and neck.
