Our department team consists of multi-profile medical imaging specialists who have earned a range of additional medical subspecialties including emergency diagnostics, magnetic resonance, computer tomography, mammography diagnostics, ultrasound diagnostics, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine and oncology.

Prof. Galina Kirova-Nedialkova, MD, PhD , Radiology Clinic Chief since the opening of Tokuda Hospital Prof. Kirova graduated from Madical Faculty of Medical Academy Sofia, and after graduation she worked consecutively in the X-ray department of Dobrich District Hospital, in the vascular and interventional diagnostic sector of the X-ray department of Military Medical Academy, Sofia, the medical imaging sector of the National Oncology Center, and the medical imaging diagnostic department of the University Hospital Lozenetz.

She has a specialty diploma in Medical Imaging, and she is proficient in all the conventional and specialized methods in Medical Imaging. Thanks to her vast experience in the National Oncology Center, she is very knowledgeable of the biology of cancer, its special features and peculiarities, diagnostic methods, and the monitoring of cancerous diseases. Her areas of special professional interest include lung diseases and she has worked long years as a consultant of Pulmonology, Thoracic Surgery and Rheumatology Clinics. In the last years her clinical and scientific interest is oriented towards the medical imaging diagnostics of the heart and the blood vessels.

She started her scientific research activities in 1992 after succesful examination for scientific assistant in Military Medical Academy, Sofia. In 2000 she defended dissertation thesis on Specifications of Diffuse Lung Diseases Diagnostics and in 2006 she was habilitated.

She has received additional specializations from the University Hospital of Uppsala, Sweden, the University Hospital in Bordeaux, France and the Oncology Center in Marseille, France.

Prof. Kirova is author of more than 150 scientific publications in national and worldwide medical journals. She is author and co-author of medical imaging and lung and heart diseases textbooks. She organises and presents lectures in numerous national and international forums for medical imaging. Since 1997, she has been a guest lecturer of the National Oncology Center, the Sofia Medical University, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, School for Cardiology and School for Pulmonology. She is also a coordinator of scientific forums organized with the assistance of the Bulgarian Royal College of Radiologists and European Society of Cardiac Radiology in Bulgaria. She was a lecturer in the Department for Teaching Rentgenology Technicians and an organiser of the National conferences of Rentgenology Technicians in 2008 and 2012. She was pledged a presidient of the XV National Congress of the Bulgarian Radiology Association in 2013. She participates in national work groups for preparing of rules for food medical practrice in the area of rentgenology, pulmonology and oncology.

Prof. Kirova is a vice president of Bulgarian Radiology Association, the deputy chief editor of the scientific journal “Rentgenology and radiology”, member of the editors boards of the magazines Reumatology and Oncologus. She is founder and chairman of the Bulgarian Society of Caridiothoracic Rentgenology for the period of 2010-2014 and a board member of the European Society for Cardiac Rentgenology. Assoc. Prof. Kirova was a board member of the Bulgarian Endovascular Society for the period of 2010-2014, as well as regular member of numerous of European and national associations and organizations. She is a chairman of the Scientific Ethics Comission of Acibadem City Clinic Tokuda Hospital.
Valentin Ivanov, MD, Radiology Physician, Mammalogist Dr. Ivanov graduated from Medical University, Sofia in 1989, and received his specialty in Medical Imaging in 1991. He has participated in the programs ESDIR, HALE Project, and the Galen Project course which was organized by the European School of Radiology. He also completed the experience exchange program in the Tokushukai Hospital Network in Japan. Dr. Ivanov worked in the medical imaging departments of the Military Medical Academy, the Fourth Labor Hospital, and for 14 years in the National Oncology Center in which he served as a Scientific Associate for 11 years. He has been a member of Tokuda's team since the opening of the hospital, and his professional interests are focused in the sphere of mammalogy.
Marina Vloka-Koleva, MD, Radiology Physician Dr. Vloka graduated from Medical University, Sofia in 1993, and acquired her specialty in Medical Imaging in 1998. After graduation, she began working for the Medical Imaging Department of General Hospital Pirogov, where she gained 14 years of professional experience. She has completed numerous classes and additional qualification trainings in interventional radiology, medical imaging of the endocrine system, and ultrasound. Dr. Vloka is a member of the Bulgarian Radiology Association and European Society for Radiology, and her professional interests are focused on interventional radiology and gastrointestinal (GI) medical imaging.
Milena Mihailova, MD, Radiology Physician Dr. Milena Mihailova graduated Medicine from Medcial University, Sofia in 1982. She has specialized Radiology in Military Medical Academy, Sofia and acquired Medical Imaging specialty in 1989. She worked in the Radiology Department and the United Avio Medical Scientific Research Institute of Military Medical Academy, Sofia as a Scientific Research Assosiate with specialty Radiology Diagnostics for the needs of the avio medical investigations. She acquired Aviation Medicine specialty in 1995. She worked in 4th General Hospital Sofia as a specialst of Convectional X-ray Imaging, Ultrasound Imaging, Mammology Diagnostics. Through the years she gained qualification for executing of highly specialized examinations in the area of Medical Imaging. Her professional and scientifc interests are oriented to Mammary Gland diseases diagnostics.
Dr. Mihailova is an active member of the Bulgarian Radiology Association and the European Society of Radiology (ESR).
Emil Vachev, MD, Radiology Physician Dr. Emil Vachev graduated Medicine from Medical University, Sofia in 1996. He has an aknowledged specialty Medical Imaging since 2006. He worked consecutevely in Municipality Hospital, Svoge and in Radiology Department in University Hospital St. Anna, Sofia. Dr. Vachev is a member of the Bulgarian Radiology Association and European Society of Radiology.
Boryana Prancheva, MD, Radiology Physician Dr. Prancheva graduated Medicine from Medical Academy, Sofia in 1991. From 1991 to 1994 she worked as an intern in the Medical Imaging Department in Military Medical Academy, Sofia. In 1995 she acquired Radiology specialty. from 1995 to 1999 she worked as an Assistant in the Medical Imaging Department in University Hospital Queen Yoanna. From 1999 to 2012 she wokred in the Clinic for Computer and Magnetic Resonance Tomography in Military Medical Academy, Sofia. She has specialized most of the contemporary methods in Medical Imaging in the country and abroad. She has participated in many national and international training classes in different areas of Medical Imaging. She is a member if the Bulgarian Radiology Association and European Society of Radiology. She speaks English.
Lora Doycheva, MD, Radiology Physician Dr. Lora Doicheva graduated medicine from the Medical Faculty of Medical Academy Sofia in 1988. She worked consecutively as a doctor in Medical Imaging Department of Rahila Angelova General Hospital in Pernik, 12th Outpatient Center in Sofia, Regional Oncologic Dispensary in Sofia, 5th General Hospital in Sofia and Tokuda Hospital.
In 1994 she completed Medical Imaging specialty. She has a Master's degree diploma in Finance and Healthcare Finance. She got a qualification for performing highly qualified examination in the area of Medical Imaging.
Since 1998 Dr. Doicheva has been practicing diagnostics of the mammary gland diseases.
Dr. Doicheva is a member of the Bulgarian Radiology Association and European Society of Radiology.
Raycho Dobrikov, MD, Radiology Physician Dr. Raycho Dobrikov graduated Мedicine from Medical University of Sofia in 2000. During the period of his study Dr. Dobrikov worked as a radiology technician in the Department of Medical Imaging of the Pirogov Hospital. In 2001 was appointed as a doctor in the same unit. His total working experience in the Pirogov Hospital is 21 years. Dr. Dobrikov acquires his specialty in Medical Imaging in 2006. In 2009 acquires his professional qualification in Invasive Imaging and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Dobrikov started teaching at the Medical College "Yordanka Filaretova" in specialty "radiology" in 2011, as in 2014 he was appointed as an assistant at the same college.
Dr. Dobrikov is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Radiology and the European Society of Radiology (ESR), Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CISRSE). His professional interests are in the field of interventional radiology, urogenital radiology and emergency medicine.
Ivan Plachkov, MD, Radiology Physician
Tatyana Nenkina, MD , Radiology Physician Dr. Tatyana Nenkina graduated from Medical Univresity Sofia in December 2009. She is a resident and worked as a physician consequtively in General Hospital Shumen, Medical University Varna and Acibadem Citi Clinic Tokuda Hospital. She acquired Radiology specialty in 2017. Dr. Nenkina participated in the national and international congresses in the area of rentgenology and cardiothoracic radiology. Her professional aspirations are apointed to lung diseases diagnostics, cardiovascular and onologic radiology. Dr. Nenkina is a member of Bulgarian Radiology Association, Bulgarian Cardiothoracic Society, European Society of Radiology (ESR), European Society of Thoracic Imaging (ESTI), European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology (ESCR).
Dr. Nenkina speaks English and German.
Vladimir Georgiev, MD , Radiology Physician Dr. Vladimir Angelov Georgiev graduated medicine from Medical University Sofia in 2012. After his graduation he worked as a volunteer in the Medical Imaging Department in Military Medical Academy, Sofia. Since September 2014 after succesfully passed exam he was admitted as a regular resident in the Medical Imaging Clinic of Tokuda Hospital for the period 2014-2018. He is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Radiology and the European Society of Radiology. He speaks English.
Natalia Mladenova, MD, Radiology Physician Dr. Natalia Mladenova graduated medicine from Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, Ukraine in 2008. From 2009 to 2014 worked as a doctor in the Internal Medicine Department in Nikolai Chudotvoretz General Hospital, Lom and the GP Practice Dr. Petya Elenkova, Lom. From July 2014 after succesfully passed exam Dr. Mladenova was admitted as a regular resident in the Medical Imaging Clinic of Tokuda Hospital for the period 2014 - 2018.
Dr. Mladenova is a member of the Bulgaraian Association of Radiology and the European Society of Radiology.
Dr. Mladenova speaks English, German, Russian and Ukrainian.
Magdalena Peneva, MD, Radiology Resident Physician Dr. Magdalena Peneva graduated Medicine from Medical University, Sofia in 2014. During her studies Dr. Peneva worked as a volunteer in Medical Imaging department of 5th City Hospital, Sofia and Medical Imaging department of Aleksandrovska Hospital.
In april 2015 Dr. Peneva was admitted as a regular resident in the Medical Imaging Clinic of Tokuda Hospital for the period 2015-2019.
Dr. Peneva speaks English.
Galin Petkov, MD, Radiology Resident Physician Dr. Galin Petkov Petkov graduated medicine from Medical University Sofia in 2014. After his graduation he worked as a physician in a GP Practice «Dr Galina Petkova» and as a volunteer in the Medical Imaging Department in Vth City Hospital, Sofia and in Multidisciplinary Regional Hospital for Active Treatment, Veliko Tarnovo. Since April 2015 he was admitted as a regular resident in the Imaging Diagnostic Department of Tokuda Hospital for the period 2015-2019. He speaks English and German.
Gloria Adam, MD, Radiology Resident Physician Dr. Gloria Adam graduated with honors in Medicine in 2015 from Medical University-Sofia. In 2013, during her studies, she was a volunteer in the Diagnostic Imaging Departments in various hospitals – Tokuda, St. Ekaterina and City Clinic. From January 2016 and currently, she is assigned as a regular resident in the Diagnostic Imaging Department in Acibadem City Clinic Tokuda Hospital in Sofia and has a particular interest in the fields of neuroradiology, musculoskeletal and pulmonary diseases. She has made practices in Barcelona, ​​Cambridge, Hamburg and Dubrovnik. She has participated in national and international congresses, as well as in articles published in scientific journals.
From 2016 is part of the founders of a Bulgarian Association of the Radiology Residents – Radiology Together and of the organizers of the society’s regular annual meetings.
She is a member of the Bulgarian Medical Association, Bulgarian Association of Radiology (BAR), Bulgarian Society of Cardio-Thoracic Radiology (BSCTR), European Society of Radiology (ESR) and European Society of Thoracic Imaging (ESTI). She speaks English, German and Italian.
Gavril Nakov, MD, Radiology Resident Physician
Radina Radeva, MD, Radiology Resident Physician Dr. Radina Radeva graduated with excellence from the Medical University of Sofia in 2015. During the last two years of her education she conducted an internship as a volunteer in a private magnetic-resonance facility in Sofia. In 2013 she held a theoretical and practical training in the Medical University of Warsaw.
Dr. Radeva began her residency in March 2016 in the Radiology Department of Medical Institute at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and continued it in the Radiology Clinic of Acibadem City Clinic Tokuda Hospital for the period of 2017-2020. She has participated in national and international congresses. She is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Radiology and the European Society of Radiology (ESR).
Dr. Radeva has professional interest in neuroradiology. She is fluent in English and has knowledge in German.
Elizabeth Panova, MD, Radiology Resident Physician Dr. Elizabeth Panova graduated Medicine from Medical University Sofia in 2017. During her last year of studies, she undertakes an internship at the Department of medical Imaging at Acibadem City Clinic Tokuda Hospital - Sofia, as in April 2017, she is admitted as a resident at the department for the period of 2017-2021. During residency, she takes part in various projects, meetings, and national conferences, as her fields of interest include muskuloskeletal and head and neck radiology.
She is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Radiology (BAR) and the European Society of Radiology (ESR).
She speaks English and French.
Martina Koleva, MD, Radiology Resident Physician Dr. Martina Koleva graduated with honors in Medicine from Sofia University „St. Kliment Ohridski“ in December 2017.
After her graduation she worked as a volunteer at the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Acibadem City Clinic Cancer Center and had various trainings in the field of ultrasound diagnostics.
In January 2018 she became an intern at the Department of Medical Imaging at Acibadem City Clinic Tokuda Hospital and in March 2018 she was assigned to a residency position at the department for the 2018-2022 period.
Dr. Koleva has interests in cardiothoracic radiology and breast imaging.
She is member of European Society of Radiology (ESR).
She speaks English and German.

Emil Georgiev, Medical Physicist He graduated physics in University of Sofia 'St. Cyril and Methodius' in 2010. In 2012 he acquired master's degree in Meidical Physics with excellent result. For the time of his specialization Emil Georgiev has been attending different classes, additional trainings and practical work in the area of radiology and radio nuclear diagnostics, magnetic-resonance medical imaging, clinical dosimetry, metrology of the ionizing radiation, radioactive activities in the environment, radioecology, dosimetry and radio protection. After his graduation he started working in Tokuda Hospital as a Medical Physicist in the Clinic for Medical Imaging.
In the beginning of 2014 started his residentship at the Faculty of Physics, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski " with scientific specialty Biophysics. The same year he won second prize at the seventh national competition for young scientists "Young and Energetic Scientists - YES".
Emil Georgiev actively participates in the process of quality assessment, development and introduction of new protocols and techniques of research, evaluation of radiation exposure and radiation protection of staff and patients.
His professional interests is directed to the sphere of magnetic-resonance tomography, computer tomography, dosimetry and radio protection.
Emil Georgiev is a member of the European Society of Radiology (ESR), Bulgarian Society for Biomedical Physics and Engineering. He has knowledge of spoken and written English language.
Head Radiology Technician Miroslav Tzochev, RT Head technician Tzochev graduated from the Medical College Yordanka Filaretova of the Sofia Medical University in 2001. From 2001 until 2003, he worked in a dental office for dental x-rays. From 2003 to 2007, he worked in the University Hospital Sveta Anna and joined our hospital in February 2007. He has bachelor’s degree and master’s in Management of Health Services from Medical University, Sofia.
