The medical institution is established as a reference center for robotic surgery in the country and the region.

Urologists, gynecologists, thoracic and abdominal surgeons at Acibadem City  Clinic Tokuda Hospital have updated their technology arsenal with the latest  robotic surgical platform - Da Vinci Xi fourth generation. It replaced the previous representative of the robot, which once marked the launch of robot-assisted surgery at the hospital in 2017. Tokuda Hospital is the only medical institution in the country that performs robotic surgeries within four different specialties. The experience gained in the recent years by certified specialists alongside with the progressive investment in the latest surgical technology in the world, make the hospital a technological leader and reference center for the most innovative surgery in the country. The advantages of the new Da Vinci robot are seen in the speed of action for the surgeon and improved access to the operating field with the help of advanced tools with increased range of work and improved visualization. It provides our specialists with more opportunities for minimal-invasive actions, even less surgical trauma and expands the application of robotic surgery in more cases. One of the

improvements is the automatic configuration of the robotic arms according to the specific area of the body that is the subject of surgery. The geometrically set mode of operation and the optimized movements of the instruments save time from the procedure, respectively - the time the patient spends under anesthesia. The new model also has improved visualization of blood vessels and microvessels in tissues and organs, which further helps to reduce blood loss and surgical trauma. Robot-assisted surgery makes a particularly significant difference in cancer surgery, where precision and rapid recovery are very important. In many cases, the patient's prospects and quality of life are significantly improved, for example in organ-sparing surgery. During the pandemic situation over the past year people have focused mainly on COVID-19 and in one way or another this has limited the development of other areas of medicine and reducing costs, regardless Acibadem City Clinic Tokuda Hospital continues to benefit all its patients with technological improvements and effective modern solutions. With the renewal of the Da Vinci robot with its latest version, the possibilities for the patient and the surgery’s quality are equal to the world standard of advanced medicine in this field.
