Breathe functioning tests, including spirometry, bronchodilator test, diffusion capacity are performed here. If there are indications, patients are consulted and tested by Allergology specialist. Complete blood and microscopic tests can be made for diagnostics of allergy. If the indications are present therapy for immune desensibilization is appointed.

3. Primary and Metastatic Lung Cancer

Complete cycle for diagnostics of cancer patients can be performed in the hospital. Pulmonary embolism requires fast diagnostics and emergency treatment measures. At Tokuda Hospital all this starts from the entrance of the hospital, where in the ER the clinical probability is estimated immediately and laboratory markers for pulmonary embolism are tested. If indications are present, a CT pulmonary angiography is performed for the patient immediately and depending on the results, he is instantly graded for severeness and appointed for appropriate treatment – with medications, including fibrinolysis, invasive treatment with percutaneous thrombofragmentation and selective fibrinolysis or cardiac surgery treatment. All patients with pulmonary embolism were examined and consulted by Angiology specialist with venous duplex ultrasound. Patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension are examined jointly by pulmonologist, cardiologist and specialist in medical imaging. If indications are present, invasive assessment of the heart may be performed. In rare cases if there are indications, patients can be directed to the Department of Thoracic Surgery for lung biopsy.

5. Diffuse Interstitial Lung Diseases (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Nonspecific Interstitial Pneumonia, Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis, Sarcoidosis, and other interstitial lung diseases)

For these patients a CT pulmonary evaluation can be performed by leading experts in the field of Pulmonary Imaging, and also Functional Assessment of the lungs, Bronchoscopic evaluation and if indications are present - lung, skin, kidney and other organ biopsy by a specialist. Extensive immunological examinations and consultations can be made. If necessary, patients can be consulted by leading European experts in Interstitial Lung Diseases.
